Before I go into the story of these two kiddies, I have to tell you that Finn has written Serena a song...yes, the one you are listening to right now. The lyrics are written on the bottom of this page. He also has to have it looped on his stereo every night while he goes to sleep so he can dream about "me and Serena." I am so in trouble!
At any rate, here is the story of Finn and the love of his life...Serena.

My mother-in-law, Gina has been best friends with Deby, well since forever. She, Jim and Rob lived in Ocala for a while when Rob was just a mere babe. That is where the friendship began. They have kept in touch over the years for the most part but sometimes lives just pull you in separate directions as we all know.

Well, a few years ago we all got back in touch with each other and to everyone's amazement found that not only did Mimi have a husband and daughter, but Robert and I had a son almost the same age! It was like fate!

Finn and Serena met almost 5 years ago, when Finn was 2 and Serena was 3. Yes, she is an older woman. Shortly after their first meeting, we went on vacation with the Mojica/Ayer clan to Blue Ridge and after just a couple of days Finn declared that what he wanted in life was a farm and Serena...he was only 3. Since then, he has not looked back, he still has an undying love for Serena. At first, she did not seem to share his passion but she seems to be growing into it. The more those two are together, the more we need to keep them apart! LOL! They are like two starcrossed lovers...Romeo and Juliet!

Over this past Thanksgiving, Finn asked Mimi (with Serena and her father present) how much it would cost him to have Serena forever. He was dead serious...he even had his entire life savings with him in a bag. He was ready to do business! Mimi asked in amazement, "Are you going to pay me for her?" She ended up taking a quarter as a deposit but told Finn he could not have her until she was at least 18. He seemed satisfied with that answer...for now.

Of course, I can't say that I would mind having Deby, Mimi and Raoul as in-laws. :)
